Short-term psychotherapy (5-10 sessions, typically)to help you help yourself with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and adjustment to life’s challenges.  Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) has clinical utility to help people feel, and get better, and I have 20 years of experience helping people pursue their better selves through active engagement in changing their lives through vigorous challenging of irrational thinking, self-defeating behaviors, and achieving better emotional, and therefore their best whole health.

If we live long enough, most of us will experience a disability.  Sometimes, our adjustment to disability can be overwhelming and we need assistance in coping, adjusting, and moving forward.  I have 20 years of experience as Certified Rehabilitation Counselor to assist you with accepting, and adjusting to life with a physical or mental health condition, and to help you find a new sense of balance in your life.

Disability: Education and Employment, Career Changes

Employment and the skills to contribute to the labor force brings much more than money–the research indicates that people gain a sense of belonging and purpose through work.  My expertise is in special education plans (Section 504) and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and youth transition, worker’s compensation, short term disability, and long term disability, and state/federal vocational rehabilitation.

As a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), I provide specialized youth transition services to help for college and career planning for life after high school and greater independence.

Finding Meaning, and Purpose

Our own purpose, and sense of purpose, is critical for our thriving.  The purpose of our lives is often to find meaning, and purpose, especially when faced with adversity across our lifespans.  For example, my campaign to bring awareness about the needs of veterans and their families, care givers, and survivors includes bring community conversations that are authentic, and address the needs of each person in our community.
